Over the weekend, we added our 10,000 travel story link to the site! Whoo-hooo. Where else can you get more travel news in one place?

Other news, today, if you follow our twitter account @TravelOTC, you’ll notice that I implemented our own link shortener. There’s nothing wrong with some of the other services, but I felt it would be better control that aspect of it. And it gives me better options for other things.

For those interested, I’m using a highly modified version of TightURL. At this time, no public interface to shorten URLs will be made available.

Finally, I’m working on a redesign of the site. I’d love any suggestions on what would make the site easier and better to use. We have a lot of followers on Twitter (nearing 2000 as I write this), but not many people using the site. I would especially like to see travel bloggers submit their postings to our site, get some additional links to you, etc.
